The following website is being included for your benefit. It is there to give you tips and pointers on how to complete a scholarship application correctly, where to look for scholarships, etc.

Scholarships Available will have a link to the website or application form. Please check dates of availability as some scholarship sponsors have to update their link to applications. (Note: if there is not an active link, sponsor has not opened application yet.) Please follow all directions given to each individual scholarship.  If you need a transcript or have any questions, please see Mrs. Burk in the high school office.

Helpful Tip:  Generate an Activity Page that can be attached to scholarships. Same with Career goals. Most scholarships ask for these two items. See Recommendation Worksheet below to help with creating your Extra-curricular activity page.

AES Engineers - open to any student, regardless of their field of study. Due October 8, 2024. Details found on their website

Coca-Cola Scholars Program - open to any high school student who will be attending a school in the US. Opens August 1st thru October 2nd.  Applications found on Website

NOVEMBER

Herb Kohl Student Excellence Scholarship - Applicants must be graduating high school students who intend to enroll in a postsecondary institution, which may be a public or nonpublic university, college, or vocational/technical college. Students who are residents of the State of Wisconsin are in good standing, and who demonstrate probable success in postsecondary education are eligible to apply. This is a competitive scholarship. All materials must be submitted by November 7th .  Details and application.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) - Good Citizens Scholarship Contest. Seniors interested in applying please follow these instructions and application.  Part 1 - application due November 1st and returned to counseling office.  Part 2 - Supervised essay to be completed by November 10th. Pick up application form in the counseling office.

Elks National Foundation Scholarships (MVS-Most Valuable Student Scholarship) - open to any senior planning on attending post-secondary school.  Due November 13th.  Online application and directions.

Wisconsin Bankers Foundation - Agriculture Banking Scholarship - open to all students attending a Wisconsin State accredited college, university or technical school who are interested in pursuing a career in agricultural banking.  Due November 15th   Details and application

NHS Scholarship Program - National Scholarship - Must be a member of the NHS and a senior in high school. Opens September 16th - Due November 28th.   Details found on website.

DECEMBER

Wisconsin School Counselors Assn - WISCA - Xello and Method Test Prep Scholarships - Open to any high school senior. Opens in October - December 11th. Check on the website for Details and application

WTS - (Young Women Interested in Transportation) - many available.  Check Website for details.  Due December 15th

Equitable Excellence Scholarships - Open to high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college. Opens September 1st -Deadline: December 18th or until 10,000 applications have been received.  Details and application.

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin - Scholarships available to high school seniors who plan to study engineering.  Information about scholarships and applications can be downloaded for the WSPE website.  Opens Late October - Due December 18th

Burger King Scholars Program - To be eligible, the student must be a high school senior or home school student. Graduates from high school within the last three years also eligible.  Opens in October . Deadline: Mid - December .  Details and application.

JANUARY

The Foundation of Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association:  Available to high school seniors and current technical college students in their first year of the two-year program. Must be enrolling in one of the following technician programs: Automotive, Diesel, Auto Collision or Motorcycle. Due January 15th.  Details and online application.

Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW)-MEUW provides its “Powering Futures” Scholarship to support students pursuing careers in electrical power distribution. Applications for this year’s awards will be accepted until January 23, 2025. To be eligible, students must reside in a Wisconsin public power community and must be pursuing post-secondary education to become a Field Service Technician, Groundman, Lineman Apprentice, Electric Meter Technician, Substation Electrician Apprentice or Utility Technician. FEBRUARY

Wisconsin Professional Police Assoc. - Any Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two- or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement-related field – which does not include law school – is eligible. Deadline: February 1.  Details and Application

WEAC - Only high school seniors are eligible to apply, and only if a parent qualifies in one of these membership categories: an active WEAC member, an active retired member, or a parent who died while holding a WEAC membership. Due February 1st.   Details/application.

Beaver Dam Elks - US Constitution Contest - Open to College-bound High School Seniors. Contest held February 5th - 11:00 am at the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce Office (127 S. Spring St. Beaver Dam).  You can participate in taking the US Constitution test for a chance to receive a scholarship. Marine Credit Union - must be a member of Marine Credit Union (establish a $5.00 savings account). Deadline: Check website for new due date. Details and Application

Simon Youth Community Scholarships are available to high school seniors living near a Simon mall or in the surrounding communities. Opens in September. Due February 16th .  Application Details

Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association - available to any high school senior enrolled or planning to enroll in any university, technical college, community college in the United States, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Program.  Applications must be postmarked no later than February 23, 2025 .  Details and application

WiRSA High School Student Scholarships - open to any high school going into any post-secondary field or education field. Only one applicant from WAHS can be submitted. Please bring completed applications to the office for selection process. Deadline: February 10th to the WAHS Office . Details and Application.

Cousins Subs - Wisconsin Sports Awards Scholarship Contest - Any high school senior graduating in 2020 who has a cumulative GPA of 3.5, has participated in a WIAA sanctioned sport, and was involved in civic and/or community organization(s) or activities during their high school career (grades 9-12). Scholarship Opens February 1st for current school year. Deadline February 28, 2025.  Details and application.

MARCH

American Legion Auxiliary (WI) - Must be relative of a veteran, show financial need, be a WI resident, GPA of 3.5 or higher. Due March 1st to local Waupun Chapter President.  It can be turned into the American Legion, 130 N. State Street in Waupun. Online directions and application.

American Legion - Department of Wisconsin - Schneider-Emanuel Scholarship - Must meet eligibility requirements as described in directions and application.  Deadline is March 1st. 

USDA/1890 National Scholars Program -open to high school seniors or rising college sophomores and juniors. Must have been accepted to or currently enrolled to study agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, and related academic disciplines. The scholarship is renewable each year. All application materials must be postmarked by March 1st. High School Application. College Students Application.

American Legion Americanism and Government Scholarship Program - Dept. of Wisconsin - Any student in grades 10, 11 or 12 are eligible to test their knowledge of US, Wisconsin and County Governments. The test consists of 50 questions. The test is available on-line during March 4 through March 15, 2025. Students register on-line when taking the test at https://agtesting.departmentapps.org The link is only active during the test window. Scholarships available range from $250 to $750.

Fond du Lac Area Retired Educators' Association (FAREA) - Any High School Senior/or graduate from high school residing in Fond du Lac County or attending a school in Fond du Lac County can apply.  Applicants must plan to pursue a career in the educational field.   The deadline is March 1st.   Details and Application

Sophia Ferron Kircher Memorial Scholarship - Open to a senior student seeking a degree in Special Education or Music at a technical college or 4-year college. Preference will be given to a student with an Individual Education Plan and GPA 2.0 or above. Deadline: March 1, 2025. Applications must be sent to the sponsor. Details and application.

Dodge County Extension Scholarships - Many different scholarships. See each for qualifications. Various deadlines from March 1st to June. Details and applications

United Wisconsin Grain Producers LLC - must be associated with the UWGP and a high school graduating senior who will be furthering their education at any college or trade institution whether full or part-time student. Deadline: March 1, 2025.  Details and application

Waupun Little League Baseball - must be a senior who participated in Waupun Little League for 5 years and plans to attend full-time at a college, technical school or university.  Return completed application form prior to March 15th. Details and application

WIESA ( Wis. Electronic Security Assoc.) - open to any graduating senior whose parent is an active member of the Wisconsin Fire or Police Department. Due: March 1st . Details and application

ALPHA XI Scholarship - Open to graduating seniors who must rank in the upper quarter of their class and be planning to enter the field of education or child development at a technical school or four-year college. Deadline: March 30th. Make sure you print all pages, follow the directions.  Details and application .

Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. - Five Recipients for this scholarship - Criteria: A High School Senior that has lived in rural Wisconsin for at least 2 years (Rural defined as areas or towns with a population of less than 25,000). Must pursue post secondary education in a field that supports the economic health and well-being of rural communities in Wisconsin. This field includes: agriculture, healthcare, large animal veterinary care, environmental studies and sustainable practices. Must plan on returning to rural Wisconsin upon graduation. Due date March 6th. Details and application.

BBB Student of Integrity - Better Business Bureau scholarships are awarded for post-high school education at any Wisconsin-based accredited college beginning in the fall of 2020, including community colleges/technical colleges. Opens in October.  Deadline: March 1st. Details and Application

Horatio Alger Scholarship - open to high school senior with plans to enter a college in the United States. Can Apply between December 1st to March 15th  Details and application found on Website.

SSM Healthcare Volunteers - Open to a high school senior residing in the Agnesian/SSM HealthCare Service area and must pursue a career in healthcare. Opens Mid Winter. Due in March. Details and Application information on website

Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteer Services/Gift Shop - Open to high school seniors and those continuing in an accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in any human health medical field. Opens Mid Winter. Due in March. Details and application information on website

Dodge County Executive Law Enforcement Association (DCELEA) - Available to those pursuing a degree in criminal justice or related field at an accredited university or technical college. Deadline: March 15, 2025 Details and application

Compeer Financial - Open to high school seniors who will major in an agriculture-related field and plan on attending any post-secondary school. Open in January. Due: March 15th.  Details and application

Dodge County 40 Et 8 Scholarship - Nursing scholarship - Due March 21. Directions and application

Schmuhl Scholarship - open to high school seniors and current college students. Opens in January - Due: March 2025. - Details and application available only online - must follow all directions

Stephenson Scholarship - must be a Fond du Lac County high school graduate (which includes WAHS) and be in an undergraduate program at a UW System campus. Continuing students in undergraduate program can also apply. Follow the directions to online application carefully. Opens in February. Due: March, 22  Directions and online application

Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Association - Five $500 scholarships will be offered to eligible high school seniors that reside in Fond du Lac County and will be attending college next school year. Deadline to submit: March. Details and Application

SAGES Alumni Scholarship - SAGES Foundation announces a scholarship for SAGES Alumni students who are continuing their education. This scholarship is available to graduating Seniors in the Waupun Area School District who are SAGES alum. Recipients of the scholarship are requested to attend the annual Friends of SAGES Banquet in April . Due Date is March for application. Details and Application.

UW-Fond du Lac Foundation, Inc. - offers college scholarships to high school seniors who designate UW Oshkosh, Fond du Lac Campus as their home campus. Deadline March. Details and application

Rachel Bosveld - Scholarship of Honor - open to graduating seniors going into a field in community service or public safety, including teaching, nursing, ministry, social work, fire safety, law enforcement, criminal justice, EMT, and any medical field. Students going into the military may also apply. Pick from the drop-down menu and select the Rachel Bosveld Scholarship of Honor. Due date: March 31, 2025. Details and online application. Equity Ripon-Lomira Shipping Association Scholarship- Open to students entering their first or second year of post secondary education in the following counties: Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Sheboygan, Washington and Winnebago. Must be pursuing an Ag related career. Deadline to submit: March 31st. Details and application instructions.

Leystra Seeds LLC Scholarship - Must be a child of a current Leystra Seeds customer or reside in Dodge or Fond du Lac county. Must plan to pursue further education in an agricultural or trade-related field. Can also be currently enrolled in further education with the intention to pursue a second year of schooling. Deadline: March 31. Details and application.

Fond du Lac Area Foundation Scholarships - many available - check to see how to qualify. Opens on February 1st. Watch as the deadline varies from March through April for most. Details and applications

Dodge County Master Gardener- open to a Dodge County high school senior who plans a career in some area of horticulture, plant science, soil science, agriculture, environmental science, landscaping, forestry, or science education at a two year technical or four-year college program. Due April 1st. Details and application

Dodge County Area Retired Educators Assoc. (DC AREA) - must plan on teaching in the K-12 area or plan to be the school librarian. Deadline April 1st after information is received for Application and details

Fond du Lac Morning Rotary - Open to seniors who will be attending a college in Fond du Lac. (Marian University, MPTC or UW FDL). Due date: April 1, 2025. Details and Application found on right hand side of the website under Downloads

Zachary B Schulz Memorial - Open to students continuing their education at a technical college, preferably in a building or business trade, but all applications to a technical school will be considered. Due: April 1st. Application

Wings Over Wisconsin- Waupun Chapter - Open to high school seniors. Must enjoy the outdoors. Due April 1st. Application and Details.

Wisconsin Bankers Foundation - Open to all graduating high school seniors who will be furthering their education at a Wisconsin state-accredited college, university, or state-operated technical school. Check website when open for 2025. Due April 2nd. Details and application

Waupun Utilities (2 scholarships) one open to any student whose parent is a customer of Waupun Utilities and another if you plan on attending an Electrical Power Distribution program.  Due dates for both are April 5th.  Details and applications

Wisconsin American Water Works Association: For those individuals pursuing a degree or training in the field of drinking water supply and treatment, the Young Professionals Committee of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Water Works Association is accepting applications for their annual scholarship through April when available. Details and applications

Moraine Park Foundation Scholarship - must enroll in MPTC. Check website for when available. Opens February 1st. Due April 1st.  Details and application

Joanne Kahl Memorial Scholarship - open to high school seniors planning on attending a 4-year college and pursuing a career in the education field. Due: April 9th.  Application

Marjorie and Wilbur Quandt Scholarship - open to high school seniors with special consideration to students from Fox Lake Area. Must show financial need. Due: April 5th  Application 

Gerald "Gus" Thompson Memorial - any senior planning on attending any post-secondary school. Due April 8th.  Application

Maureen Drummy Scholarship - Open to high school seniors who plan on becoming a teacher at any grade level 7th and above. Due April 9th Application 

Colleen Tenpas Memorial Scholarship - open to seniors and previous graduated of WAHS that are accepted and enrolled at a 4-year college with a declared nursing major. Due April 15th  Application 

WAEA - Waupun Area Education Assoc. - Open to any senior planning on attending any post-secondary school. The first choice is a parent who is a member of WEA and/or going into the education field. The second choice can be any field. Due: April 15th. Application 

The Arc of Dodge County - open to High School Seniors or College students pursuing a career in Special Education. Must include a transcript with application. Due: April 15, 2025. Application and details visit website.

Elzy & LaValice Cooper Memorial Scholarship Award -The family has chosen two educational paths in which the couple found keen interest. The fund will provide the first award to a candidate pursuing a college degree in a field that would fall under "STEM" (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) fields of study. The second award will go to a candidate pursuing a degree in a Technical College or Vocational College.   Deadline: April 15th.  The application must be downloaded and printed to fill out. Garland Lichtenberg Trust Scholarship - Open to any senior or previous graduate planning on attending any technical college or nursing program at a technical college or 4-year college. Due April 15th. Application 

Oris & Elaine Possin Science and Math Scholarship - Available to a high school senior who is pursuing any science or math-related field. Due: April 12th. Application 

PEO Chapter BD Scholarship - Open to Female US Citizens who have attended or graduated from a Fond du Lac County high school.  Must be accepted to a school of higher learning.  Deadline: April 15th. Details and application

TMart - Dunkin Donuts - Must attend either a technical school or a college or university. Applicants must be current employees or the dependents of current employees for TMart or Dunkin. Due date: April 15th. Details and Application.

Richard & Marian Holmes Scholarship - Available to graduating seniors and past graduates of WAHS who will attend any post-secondary school. Preference is given to students continuing education in fields of nursing, medical or related fields. Due: April 15th.  Application 

Veterans of Foreign Wars - Post 6709 - Open to any high school senior who plans on attending any post-secondary school. Due April 15th.   Application .

Excellence in Math Scholarship - The Mathematics Education Fund was established in 2018 to provide post-secondary scholarships to outstanding mathematics students.  Waupun Area High School graduating seniors are eligible to apply. Deadline is April 19th. Details and Application.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship - Students must be enrolled as an Art Major in a school of higher learning (This includes Art Therapy Programs).  Deadline: April 22.    Details and application.

Lucille M Vaughan Memorial Scholarship - Available to a high school senior planning on a career in a humanitarian area and enrolled in a 4-year college. Due: April 20th. Application

Howard and Stella Kujath Memorial - Open to any senior planning on attending a 4-year college. Due April 22nd. Application 

Harold E. Adams Scholarship - Must be a resident of the City of Fox Lake or Town of Fox Lake.  A high school senior or college/technical school student can apply. Must have a GPA of at least 2.75 and show financial need.  Due: April 19.  Details and application.

Waupun Area Athletic Booster Club -High School Senior Must have participated in high school athletics for 3 years and be attending any post-secondary school. Due: April  28th. Application 

Michael Smits Memorial Scholarship - Open to high school seniors accepted to any post-secondary school pursuing a "service" related field. Due: April 24. Details and  Application 

Fox Lake American Legion Auxiliary - must be a son, daughter or grandchild of a current Fox Lake American Legion Unit 521 Auxiliary member and a graduating High School Senior or College Student. Due April 26th. Details and Application

Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation - Must have participated in high school's boys or girls basketball program during your senior year. Opens February 1st and Due April 30th. Details and application

Wisconsin Towns Assoc. - Essay Scholarship open to high school seniors who play to enroll in any Wisconsin school of higher learning. Check website for availability. Due: May 1st. Details and Application

Richard Garner Memorial Scholarship - Open to High School Student or Enrolled in College.  Must be accepted or enrolled in a Fire or EMS Related Field. Opens in November and the deadline to electronically submit is May 1st. Details and application

Lions Club District 27-A2 Diabetes Awareness Scholarship - Must reside in Dodge County and whose life has been impacted by diabetes. This includes the student themselves, a parent, or sibling who is diagnosed with DM 1, DM2 or gestational diabetes. Deadline: May 1st. Information and application

Eastern Ridge Home Builders Assoc. Scholarship - Check website for availability and deadline. Applications open February with Deadline May 31st. Details and application

Abbott & Fenner Scholarship - The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution. Essay required. Due June. Details and application

The Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship - Must plan to pursue career or technical education certificate/degree. Check website for when available. Opens March 15th - Closes June - See website for details

Big Sun Scholarship - open to all high school senior student-athletes. Essay due: June 19th See website for details:

Beaver Dam Conservationist, Inc. - offering scholarships to all local area high school graduates including previous and current seniors who will be continuing their education at a college or technical school for the upcoming school year. Interested candidates must submit a one-page written essay highlighting their accomplishments and future goals in relation to academics, conservation and community involvement. Grieve Law Scholarships -Offering two scholarships. The scholarship is open to high school seniors planning on attending college and students currently enrolled at a university or trade school.
