Students in first grade enjoy a literature rich environment. Early literacy standards are key to ensuring proficient and advanced readers. We are aligned with the Science of Reading instruction and support a balanced literacy learning environment where students transfer their early literacy skills into reading and writing.

Students learn math concepts through conceptual understanding. They also enjoy science and social studies through hands on and real life activities. Students are continually working on being good citizens through play, role modeling, and experience. Students also enjoy special classes such as physical education, music, art, guidance, library, and learning lab.
